Positive Alternatives to Suspension
Home /  Positive Alternatives to Suspension

Reduce overall suspensions and improve student academic and social functioning by transforming how you use suspensions from ‘time away’ to ‘time engaged’.

Learn how to create a setting with high expectations and low tolerances with a focus on improving both the academic and behavioral functioning of students requiring higher levels of support.

The Positive Alternatives to Suspension workshop was modeled on real-life programs proven to reduce chronic misbehavior while keeping kids in a healthy, structured environment where they can learn skills for future success.

This learning is ideal for administrators looking to create an in-school environment that focuses on both academic and social skill teaching to address the social-emotional learning needs of their students rather than rely on traditional suspension consequences that remove students from school.
